OUR ECO EFFORTS

Renewable Energy

Our farm is running partly on Solar energy. On some sunny days, we could even go completely 100% off-grid, with the Sun powering all our energy needs, reducing our reliance on the municipal power grid.

Planting

Since we took over the farm, we have already planted over 2500 young plants in terrain. There are a mixture of different species.

Water harvesting

To reduce our reliance on the municipal water supplies, we have installed little features around the farm which catch and store rainwater for irrigation.

Heating

The heating needs of all the house are fuelled by the fallen tree branches sourced from the property. We regularly combed our woodlands for fallen trees, and reused them as fuel and mulch.

Composting

All vegetables and fruits scraps are composted, and returned back to the land as fertilisers.

Organic Compost
Cow manure

Cow manure from our neighbour's farm are re-used as fertilisers for our many fruit trees and plants.
